How to Migrate Your Blog from Squarespace 7.0 to Squarespace 7.1
Is there actually a way? Yes! & here’s how!
Let’s face it, Squarespace 7.1 has better themes and a bunch of different new features. But, moving your blog from a Squarespace 7.0 site to Squarespace 7.1 isn’t easy. In fact, it’s not possible based on the information I found on Squarespace’s site.
Sure, you can download a bunch of .csv files and upload them, but I know nothing about code (which is why I picked Squarespace in the first place) so no, I won’t be doing that.
At present, my website is fairly simple; landing pages, portfolio, testimonials, contact, schedule calls, and a blog. But, I want to take it up a notch and think 7.1 might be a good way to go.
But, there’s no way to migrate your blog, and quite frankly, who wants to start over, writing blog posts and uploading them?
So, I found a workaround.
Before starting, you’ll have already created your site in 7.1, and the only thing left to do, migrating your blog from your old site to your new site.
You’ll first need to head over to WordPress.com and create a WordPress blog. It’s what you’ll need to bypass some of the steps below.
